The California Chamber of Commerce has compiled a list of employment laws scheduled to take effect in 2012. The laws include: AB 22. It prohibits employers and prospective employers, except for some financial institutions, from obtaining and using consumer credit reports (credit information) to check out job applicants and employees. The law does not apply to managerial employees.
