One of Milbank Real Estate CEO Aaron Yashouafar's attorneys has asked a judge in Las Vegas to sentence the First National Center owner to probation in an embezzlement case so that he can help shore up new financing for the downtown landmark. Aaron Yashouafar is scheduled to be sentenced on theft and embezzlement charges in Clark County, Nev., on Wednesday for allegedly stealing more than $1 million in insurance money from a homeowners association for a Las Vegas condominium complex.
NEWBURGH Cindy Duntons hour of accountability is nearly upon her. After more than a year of waiting and legal maneuvering in an embezzlement case that has caused divisiveness in Newburgh that continues to this day, Dunton is scheduled to be sentenced Friday for stealing nearly $200,000 from taxpayers since 2006. A former Union Savings Bank manager, accused of pilfering at least $675,000 from an elderly couple who were her clients, is under federal investigation for embezzlement concerning the accounts of at least three senior women, two of them with Alzheimer's disease, the Dayton Daily News has learned. There is probable cause to believe that Diane Elizabeth Niehaus, possibly with the help of her husband, Paul, defrauded elderly customers of Union Savings Bank, as well as the bank itself, between 2008 and 2011, IRS agent Laurel Vant wrote in an affidavit for a search warrant.

Misti Chantel Moore, 38, a former Heritage Room administrative assistant, was arrested Friday and charged with two felony counts of forgery and embezzlement, said city spokesman Carl Baker.
