Last year on Aug. 24 after four days in UPMC Mercy, Annie Noble was diagnosed with Stage 4 pancreatic cancer. It has since spread to the liver and the prognosis is not good. But she doesn`t dwell on what will happen. Instead, she takes life one day at a time and considers each day she is given as a gift from God.
Given her career choice and a longstanding penchant for helping others, it's not surprising that Marei Burnfield looks forward to visiting the remote villages of Honduras and southeast Africa.
