Classes start Monday, Jan. 10, at Colorado's Ecotech Institute in Aurora. The college focuses on preparing students for careers in renewable energy and sustainable design. The Aurora campus opened in April 2010 and offers seven associate degrees and a certificate program designed by industry experts for those seeking careers in the clean technology. Courses include electrical engineering technology, energy and environmental paralegal, energy efficiency, environmental technology, renewable energy technology, Solar energy technology, sustainable interior design and wind energy technology.

As one of the first students in the nation to graduate with a renewable energy degree, Timothy Bailey isn't worried about finding a job. Then again, he's not looking for work. On June 16, Bailey will graduate with a bachelor's degree from the Oregon Institute of Technology's renewable energy systems program - a blend of courses in mechanical and electrical engineering aimed specifically at training grads for high-tech careers in the energy industry.

Ronald Harley (Ron) Hively, 85, of Daleville, Va., passed away peacefully on the 2nd of September 2011. Our family is very sad to have him pass but we have comfort in knowing he will be joining his wife in Heaven and no longer suffers from pain and discomfort. Ron was born in Flatwoods, W.Va., on the 22nd of November 1925, to Harley Curtis Hively and Sallie Rhea Hively. He had one brother and sister-in-law, the Rev. Richard R.
