THEODORE J. BAUER, 95, of Wyckoff died Friday. Before retiring, he was senior vice president of research and medical affairs for Becton, Dickinson & Co., and served on the board of directors for 20 years. He was a graduate of the University of Iowa Medical School, receiving its Alumni Achievement Award in 1997. He served in U.S. Public Health Services for 29 years as chief of the division of venereal diseases in Washington, D.C., chief of the Centers for Disease Control in Atlanta and as assistant surgeon general.
