St. Pierre receives bachelor's degree BEAVERCREEK -- Clark State Community College student Jodi St. Pierre of Beaver-creek received a bachelor's degree in business forensics/business administration on Jan. 9 through an educational alliance between the college and Franklin University in Columbus.
A new private university that focuses primarily on master and doctorate programs in psychology, business administration and education administration is preparing to open its first Utah campus this fall. In the U.S., the Masters of Business Administration (MBA) degree has become the hallmark of distinction for people seeking advanced positions in organizations. However, few realize that business as a formal field of study has been in existence only a little over one hundred years, the first 50 of which generated very little interest. This manuscript provides a brief history of the MBA as it has evolved over the last one hundred years and describes the characteristics of the MBA as it currently exists. Also provided is a discussion of several trends which are likely to shape the MBA of the future.
Congratulations to Ron Thibodeaux on his selection as the new principal of Chaparral Middle School. His appointment was announced by the Walnut Valley Unified School District Board of Trustees. Thibodeaux has served as the Chaparral interim principal for the past year. He earned his bachelor's degree in political science and history and his master's degree in educational administration at UC Dominguez Hills.
