Information is provided here to show that massive and illegal immigration has adverse effects on economic justice, fairness to immigrants that came legally, and the rule of law. After nearly three million illegal aliens were granted a one-time amnesty in the United States in 1986, a new group, at least four times as large, replaced them in just 20 years. This paper analyzes demographic data from established and reputable sources to present a concise and compelling case for prevention and protection, effective enforcement, and a time-out from current levels of mass immigration.

The contributions of immigrants are many, particularly when it comes to the pace of economic growth. Immigrants both power and grease the engines that run the economy. In fact, just over half of the increase in the US labor force over the last decade was the result of immigration legal and illegal. Immigrants' labor force contributions will continue to be important in the near future as the US workforce ages and the baby boomers retire. Despite immigrants' contributions to economic growth and efficiency, policymakers will continue to debate the costs and benefits of immigration because, while economic growth makes the economy bigger, a larger economy does not necessarily make US natives better off. Connie Schultz's column about Jesus and the DREAM Act makes me sick. She complains about Republican "self-anointed champions of Christianity," then quotes the Bible and Jesus in favor of her liberal agenda of helping illegal immigrants. She tells a story of a poor 11-year-old struggling in America -- one receiving free medical and free education at taxpayer expense. Well, there's lots of American 11-year-olds struggling from the loss of jobs and costs to taxpayers that the illegals cause. Don't be stupid, the facts are there. If liberal politicians didn't allow them to easily come into America or get public services, we wouldn't have this problem.
