  • BUCKSPORT - , 61, died unexpectedly Jan. 5, 2012, at his home. He was born Dec. 26, 1950, in Brookline, Mass., the son of Forrest and Ruby (Walsh) Collins. Dwight graduated from Brewer High School, class of 1969. He served with the U.S. Army from 1970 to 1974. Dwight was a member of BTJ Pipefitters Union Local 716, retiring in 2010 after 36 years. He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting and fishing, especially in the Allagash. Dwight was a loving husband, father and grandfather.

He graduated in 1957 from Presque Isle High School and attended Farmington State Teachers College. He married his best friend and life partner, Gloria Brayson Wilcox, Nov. 12, 1960. The couple celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in 2010 with a weeklong celebration in Phippsburg with family and friends.
