Dear Dr. Gott: I recently have heard several testimonials about ionic silver water used to heal open sores and also having drinking benefits. Can you enlighten me on the use and safety of this product? Dear Reader: Ionic silver has been used for countless years as the "ultimate" antibiotic, antifungal and antiviral alternative. This natural element is believed to block the respiratory metabolism in bacteria. Viruses are rendered ineffective when silver particles block infection, causing them to be unable to replicate.
The report, Protecting the Source, provides the scientific, economic, and public health justifications for land conservation as a critical strategy for protecting America's drinking water sources and recharge lands. In making the case for protecting drinking water sources, the report summarizes research about drinking water and public health, the costs of not protecting water sources, and the management of watersheds. Protecting the Source also documents several best practices in drinking water source protection efforts from around the country. While modern drinking water treatment can reduce most source water contaminants to acceptable levels before water is delivered to consumers, protecting drinking watersheds and recharge lands is emerging as a critical drinking water protection str...

The ongoing investigation of Congressman Jerry Lewis and his service in Congress is like a soap opera, entertaining some Sun readers but very menacing to the Inland Empire as a whole. Local cities and colleges have severed their ties with Washington lobbyist Copeland, Lowery, Jacquez, Denton and White (their right to do so) only to award their work to another lobbyist or foolishly go out on their own to navigate the labyrinth that is the Federal government. Yet no one has expressed a loss of confidence, disappointment or displeasure with Congressman Jerry Lewis or his staff. The projects and programs affect our drinking water, our transportation system, our economic development, and even have incredible medical benefits that will help countless individuals. Collectively thes...
