Wells Fargo & Co., which absorbed Wachovia Bank's Virginia operations earlier this month, will hold a parade through downtown Roanoke at noon today, followed by a ribbon-cutting at its Jefferson Street branch.
The parade will feature a horse-drawn stagecoach and the Patrick Henry High School band.

An El Paso County jury returned a mixed verdict Wednesday against a Colorado Springs shop owner accused of recruiting customers to pull off two bank heists, including one that led to gunfire.
After an eight-day trial, Vernon Clark, 33, was found guilty of seven counts in a January 2010 robbery at a downtown Wells Fargo. He was acquitted of eight counts in an April 2010 robbery at a Key Bank on the city's southeast side.

A man on crutches robbed a downtown Wells Fargo bank minutes before noon Monday, then fled on foot, Colorado Springs police said.
The robber entered the bank at 90 S. Cascade Ave., at 11:58 a.m., claimed that he had a gun and demanded cash from a teller.
