Former St. Louis County Planning Commission Chairman Douglas Morgan was indicted on a federal bank fraud charge last week.
Morgan allegedly submitted "false and deceptive" personal financial statements to obtain 15 loans in his name from Commercial Bank, of which he was a shareholder, according to a U.S. Department of Justice press release. He also allegedly guaranteed other loans in his children's names. Morgan currently owes $1.5 million on all of the loans, according to the release.

Over the last two decades, the way consumers go about acquiring a car has evolved. Changes in the auto industry, regulatory differences, the current economy and the recent credit crisis can all be attributed to the current state of car loans - one where credit unions and automobile manufacturers have taken the place of traditional banks as primary lenders.

ELLENSBURG - , daughter of Dennis and Mary Alice Flory, was born July 1, 1963, in Douglas County, Kansas. She went to be with her Lord on March 9, 2006 at the age of 42 years, 8 months, and 8 days.
Tamera gave her life to the Lord Jesus Christ and was baptized into the Old German Baptist Brethren Church on December 14, 1980 and remained faithful to the end. She was a graduate of the 1981 Class at Lawrence High School, and prior to her marriage worked at the Douglas County Bank. On July 24, 1983, she was united in marriage to Gordon Boone of Modesto, California, with whom she shared the joys and sorrows of life for over 22 years.
