, 79, of Lancaster, died Wednesday, January 5, 2011 at the Lancaster Regional Medical Center. She was born in Lancaster the daughter of the late Charles H., Jr. and Rosanna (Rathkey) Peffer and was the loving wife of Donald J. Kirchner. Evelyn was a homemaker and enjoyed watching her grandchildren playing sports. She also enjoyed basketball and Barnstormers baseball. She is also survived by her son Donald A. Kirchner, her daughter Jody M. married to Dwayne Bowers all of Lancaster, a daughter Beth A. married to Doug Warfel of Millersville, and a brother Charles H., Jr. married to Ruth (Brandt) Peffer of Elizabethtown. She will be sadly missed by her 6 grandchildren, and 8 great grandchildren.

For most county wrestlers, the season ended before the March 6 state wrestling tournament. For Tyler Moyer, Doug West and Corey Bowers, however, the state tournament was simply another big tournament in a season that would not end for at least another month. Come Thursday, the three wrestlers and Old Mill wrestling coaches Jim Grim and Marc Procaccini will depart for Cleveland, OH to take part in this weekend's High School National Wrestling Tournament. In preparation for the tournament, which invites all high school senior wrestlers who reached the state finals at some point in their careers, the three wrestlers have continued in-season type work- outs up through this week.
