KILL DEVIL HILLS - Edith Hendrickson Baker, 85, passed away at her home Dec. 25, 2010. Born Dec. 7, 1925, in Mount Lookout, W.Va., she was the oldest daughter of the late Alexander Hamilton Hendrickson and Emma Jane Shackelford Hendrickson. She was preceded in death by her husband of nearly 50 years, George A. "Jeff" Baker; two older brothers, Alec Jr and Lysle Hendrickson; her younger sister, Jean H. Lipscomb; and a stepdaughter, Katharine "Winkie" Thornton.
