VIRGINIA BEACH - , 80, of Chesterfield, Va., and formerly of Virginia Beach, passed away Nov. 10, 2010.
A native of Lebanon, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Martin and Anna Reichard and the widow of Joseph Moore. She was a member of St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church and its choir and volunteered with Red Cross for more than 30 years.

, 79, of Lewes, DE passed away on Tuesday, April 12, 2011 at his residence with his loving family by his side. He was born in Hempstead, NY, on April 27, 1931, son of the late Harry J. and Mabel (Seaman) Moore. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Doris Moore Sharp.
Mr. Moore enjoyed a 40 year career as an outside salesman and estimator, selling plumbing, heating and air conditioning products wholesale to licensed contractors. He also worked as a Funeral Home Associate for Parsell Funeral Homes and Crematorium for 18 years. He was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church since 1951 and sang in the church choir for over 60 years as a Baritone Soloist. MACHIAS The trial of a Baileyville man accused of taking a Princeton woman hostage in her home before he was forced out at gunpoint by the womans mother came to an abrupt end Tuesday afternoon when he decided to plead guilty to the 2009 incident.
Dean T. Moores trial began Tuesday morning in Washington County Superior Court, with Moore and the victims in the case, Vanessa and Doris Gatchell, each testifying during the morning session. Testimony ended around 11:45 a.m., immediately before the trial broke for lunch. Closing arguments were expected to begin around 1 p.m.

He was a people person," said Doris Hilliard, Moore's longtime secretary. "I remember when I fractured my foot he sent a radio car to get me back and forth to work. When he was promoted and we were transferred to a different location, he sent a paddy wagon.
"Chief [William H. "Mugsy" Moore] was a trailblazer," said current police chief Nathan E. Harper in a statement issued from this office. "He mentored to many police officers who, to date, have worked very hard to position themselves for supervisory positions within the police force. He has truly opened the door to policing for minorities and women. If I could mentor to my officers as well as Chief Moore then I would consider my tenure as chief of police a success."
