Since Doreen's Jazz New Orleans last performed in the tri-states in January 2006, clarinetist/singer Doreen Ketchens and her group have been globetrotting, in between work on their Katrina-ravaged New Orleans home The group, which includes Doreen's husband Lawrence Ketchens on tuba, has brought Dixieland jazz to South Africa, Kazakhstan and the Dominican Republic as well as North Dakota and Maine; Sioux City, Iowa, and Syracuse, N.Y.
