Donald E. Donahue Sr., a World War II veteran and retired Buffalo police detective sergeant, died Saturday in Brothers of Mercy Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Clarence. He was 89.
Mr. Donahue was born in Buffalo's Old First Ward and graduated from Technical High School in 1939.

She started working with her husband, Donald Donahue, when they opened their shop in the 1950s. The East Side Cycle & Hobby Shop, 2031 N. Farwell Ave., first sold new bikes and hobby supplies, but later specialized in bicycle repair as East Side Cycle.
