PORTSMOUTH - , 70, passed away at his home in Point Harbor, N.C., May 5, 2009, surrounded in love by his family after a brave battle with pancreatic cancer.
Donnie was born in 1938, in Portsmouth, to Horace L. Wise and Frances G. Wise. He attended Churchland High School, graduating with the Class of 1956. Donnie achieved a degree in electrical engineering from Virginia Military Institute in 1961. He went on to acquire his law degree from the Marshall-Wythe School of Law at The College of William and Mary in 1963, at which time he joined his father and brother in the law firm Wise, Wise, and Wise. Donnie practiced law in Portsmouth for more than 40 years.

Science Museum Oklahoma in Oklahoma City will build a new 21,000- square foot children's museum within the existing building thanks to a $12 million grant from the Donald W. Reynolds Foundation.
The grant, part of the museum's $25 million capital campaign, will fund the first phase of a master capital improvement plan, which includes the new exhibit for children. Other improvements include the redesign of the entrance and lobby as well as lighting and aesthetic improvements to the exterior of Science Museum Oklahoma.
