JEFFERSON CITY -- A bill that would create a single definition of domestic violence in state law and give teens new protections from abusive relationships won unanimous approval in the Missouri Senate yesterday.
The bill, passed on a 33-0 vote, is the work of a task force Attorney General Chris Koster created last year. The panel reviewed how domestic violence laws have changed over three decades and set an agenda for updating and strengthening the laws.
