To the editor -- Three times in the past year you have published stories about my medical condition and progress. I am the woman bitten by the small, healthy dog in November 2004 -- the one whose tiny, 1-2-inch bite caused a raging, bodywide infection leading to renal failure, respiratory collapse, circulatory and coagulation stoppage, blackening and rotting of leg tissue, extensive skin harvesting and grafting, and gangrene leading to amputation of four fingers and all 10 toes.
