The public voted for president Nov. 2. The ballots that really count will be cast today. In Connecticut, seven state residents, members of the Electoral College, will gather at the state Capitol in Hartford to vote for president and vice president. Electors cast votes simultaneously throughout the 50 states and the District of Columbia, said Connecticut Deputy Secretary of the State Maria Greenslade. From there, Greenslade said, ballots will be collected, sealed and forwarded to Vice President Dick Cheney, who serves as president pro tempore of the U.S. Senate.
