The Salvation Army New Orleans Command said FedEx has donated a disaster response unit that has a feeding capacity of 1,500 meals a day. The unit, equipped with stove tops, microwaves and reach-in refrigerator and freezer, will be used to feed thousands in the aftermath of a hurricane and other disasters locally and nationwide, Salvation Army said.
