BUTLER Nearly 120 gallons of diesel fuel spilled over the parking lot of Lowe's home improvement store Sunday morning after a truck's fuel tank smashed against a concrete wall, police said. Shortly before 9 a.m. a tractor was backing up and trying to hook up to a trailer when it hit a wall behind the store and ruptured the fuel tank, police said.

Craig Wess never imagined a fuel tank that weighed more than half a ton might disappear from one of his construction sites. But, when crew workers returned to the Buckeystown Pike site in Frederick County Monday, they discovered the nearly full 500-gallon diesel fuel tank missing.
BERKELEY, Calif. - University of California, Berkeley officials on Monday reopened a campus building closed after 1,700 gallons of diesel fuel spilled from a storage tank into a nearby pristine creek that meanders through campus. Stanley Hall had been deemed safe by officials after air quality testing and reopened at 7:30 a.m. Monday in time for finals, said Janet Gilmore, a school spokeswoman.

California Highway Patrol officers received a call reporting diesel fuel leaking from an 18-wheeler about 2 p.m. Officer Krystal Carter said the truck's fuel tank had been punctured by a metal pipe.
