Two New York City men police believe were behind a string of burglaries in Leonia were arrested Thursday by detectives from the Leonia Police Department and investigators from the Bergen County Prosecutor's Office.
Cristofer Vallejo and Lianer Garcia, both 19 - were arrested just before 11 a.m., said Leonia Police Detective Lt. Thomas Rowe. The arrests followed a weeklong surveillance operation outside the Lakeview Apartments on Lakeview Avenue where there have been five burglaries and two cars stolen since February.
