DOYLESTOWN, Pa., Sept. 23 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Delaware Valley College will bring nationally known speakers and authors to campus when it hosts its 3-day symposium, Oct. 7-9, on issues around climate change, sustainability and our food systems.
Called "The Precarious Alliance," the symposium will explore ways to reduce and reverse environmental degradation, economic instability and social inequities.

, 78, of Quarryville, died on Tuesday, December 13, 2011 at Lancaster Regional Medical Center. Born in Mahanoy City, PA, he was a son of the late Tally and Catherine (Wiernicki) Tacelosky. He was married to Joanna (Marchalonis) Tacelosky of Quarryville.
Charles graduated from Delaware Valley College and went on to serve in the United States Army during the Korean War. He worked as a farm manager for the state of Pennsylvania and later worked for the U.S. Dept. of Agriculture. Charles enjoyed fishing, watching sports, and spending time with his grandchildren. He was a member of St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church in Quarryville.

Dr. Justin A. Provost of West Haven graduated cum laude from St. George's University School of Medicine on June 12. Provost will do a residency at the University of Louisville. He plans to specialize in internal medicine. Provost is the son of Alan and Patricia Provost of West Haven. A--Glen J. Elizabeth M. Kolar, CPA, knew at a young age that she wanted to be a teacher. According to her students and colleagues, she chose the right profession. Kolar, assistant professor of business and chair of the business administration department at Delaware Valley College, received PICPA's Outstanding Educator Award for 2008 due to her all-out dedication to the accounting profession and her students. Kolar is known for setting high standards for her students, but she makes herself readily available to those with questions and provides real-world examples so her students can better understand accounting procedures. Her dedication and caring has been a big hit with her students.
