"Before that we had city wide elections. I knew if that continued we wouldn't ever have another Black Commissioner again. The numbers don't favor African Americans. SANGERVILLE - This town's former plumbing inspector has filed a notice of a possible lawsuit against Sangerville claiming defamation of character regarding his past performance.
Thad Zmistowski, the town's attorney, confirmed this week that Frank Ruksznis had filed a notice of possible claims against the town.

WOODCLIFF LAKE - Former Councilman Robert Rosenblatt charged Councilman Paul Camella and 10 others with defamation of character on Friday in a lawsuit filed in state Superior Court.
Rosenblatt's allegations stem from comments Camella made during an October council session last year. Camella, who was serving as the Republican Borough Council campaign manager at the time, also distributed letters to his fellow Republican councilors, newspaper reporters and borough residents, the lawsuit states.

COLTON - A lawsuit former Police Chief Ken Rulon filed against the city in late 2007 seeking $10 million in damages could go to trial as early as next summer, his attorney said Tuesday.

The general contractor, Milwaukee-based Castlerock Commercial Construction Inc., is asking in a civil lawsuit that subcontractor Marquette Mechanical Contractors Inc., Milwaukee, be barred from publicly discussing its allegations.
