The 20-year-old Mango Festival may be in jeopardy of losing its funding from the Deerfield Beach City Commission. Scheduled for June 17-19, the City's Special Event Committee recommends funding to all events with the city. This year the Mango Festivals planning is mired in a dispute stemming from Commissioner [Sylvia Poitier]'s commitment to her community's well being.
