In the past five years I have not heard one plausible way to defeat terrorism. Terror is a method, not a country, not a people, not even an ideology. A war can be lost or won. Terrorism can never be eliminated, because it will always exist as long as people exist. At what point do we wave the flag and declare the end of our war on terror? If a terrorist attack occurs after this declaration, the supposed victory is meaningless. To those who argue for an increased focus on combating terror, tell us how this can be accomplished. Generic pseudo-patriotic cries of freedom and security simply mask the fact people don't know what is going on.
