This document contains a notice of pendency before the Department of Labor (the Department) of a proposed individual exemption from certain prohibited transaction restrictions of the Employee Retirement Income Security Act of 1974, as amended (ERISA), the Federal Employees' Retirement System Act of 1986, as amended (FERSA), and the Internal Revenue Code of 1986, as amended (the Code). An antiques dealer from China came to Clarence on Saturday to bid against an art dealer who traveled from London in an auction for a rare 250-year-old Chinese vase found in a nearby home. The antiques dealer went away with the vase, but dropped $1.55 million
Another jury has returned a modest verdict against Chad Franklin and his Kansas City area car dealership. The defendants face more than 200 lawsuits alleging customers were lured in by ads and the dealer then didn't follow through on the promises made. The cases are being tried one by one in Jackson and Clay counties.
