Garden City-based Data Storage Corp. announced today that it has signed a $20 million equity line agreement to accelerate the development of its information technology operations and expand its market.
The agreement, made between DSC and Ridgefield, Conn.-based Southridge Partners II, will provide the Long Island-based cloud storage and cloud computing company focused on data protection with a new stream of capital.

Matthew P. Grosso has been promoted to executive vice president at Data Storage Corp., a provider of data recovery and business continuity solutions, in Garden City. In his new role, Grosso will be responsible for business development and expanding the company's partnership program, in addition to continuing his operational, data center and product development responsibilities. Grosso joined the company in February 2009.
With a college degree in electrical engineering and a concentration in digital systems design, Grosso has worked in technology, business development, sales and management for more than 20 years. Garden City-based Data Storage Corporation has been selected by Dallas-based Diaz Foods to provide high availability data solutions.
While Diaz Foods has its own information technology staff, the agreement with DSC means that the food company now has a backup option should it need to recover data or do system maintenance operations that impacts their main servers.
