The literature describes many frameworks for innovation strategy but offers little detail about how to implement them. This paper identifies 12 ways of visualizing innovation strategies: platform offering, co-creation, cycle time reduction, brand value enhancement, technology leveraging, future-proofing, lean development, partnering, innovation mutation, creative destruction, market segmentation, and acquisition. These strategies allow 100 leading global companies to dominate their markets and outperform the competition through innovation.

Three hundred and thirty respondents completed an on-line questionnaire which consisted of demographics and questions related to their out-of-class involvement in 14 areas as identified by the institutions' Dean of Students Office, and a 25-item sense of community scale developed by Cheng (2004). Out-of-class involvement levels were examined using a hierarchical cluster analysis. Explorat...

  • This study addresses the emotive dissonance and emotive effort dimensions of emotional labor and their relationships to the emotional exhaustion, depersonalization, personal accomplishments, and job satisfaction consequences of emotional labor with respect to licensed funeral directors. Four hypotheses were formulated. Emotive dissonance resulted in higher levels of emotional exhaustion. An inverse relationship resulted with higher levels of emotive effort, indicating lower levels of depersonalization. No support was revealed for higher levels of emotive dissonance being indicative of lower levels of job satisfaction; and higher level of emotive effort resulting in higher levels of job satisfaction. Implications for future research are also discussed.
