CORONA, Calif., June 3, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- A collaborative effort involving public school systems, a waste hauler, a foodservice distributor, and Dart Container Corporation to recycle foam school lunch trays has hit a new milestone in California - with more than one million trays now being collected and recycled each month.
Tray by tray, the state's largest volunteer lunch tray recycling effort plays to the interests of school systems eager to maintain costs without jeopardizing the environment and student health, and at the same time finding new uses for school foam lunch trays that are diverted from landfills and reprocessed into premium picture frames, interior molding and other uses.

CORONA, Calif., June 24, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- A new facility opening today marks another milestone in foam recycling efforts in California.
Dart Container Corporation today opened its Wash & Dry Center, which will enable the company to process food contaminated foam foodservice containers for recycling - including cups, plates, clam shell trays, and school lunch trays. The center, which is located at Dart's Corona facility, can process foam even with food residue, making it even easier for local organizations, businesses and residents to recycle their used foam. With the ability to clean slightly more than three million pounds of foam per year, Dart can now recycle 100 percent of the foam it receives.

Legal doctrines vary in the extent to which they apply either detailed, categorical rules or broad, open-ended standards that allow for case-specific adjudication. Antitrust law is generally thought of as inhabiting the standards end of this spectrum. In fact, however, despite the generality of the enabling statutes antitrust law is rife with categorical distinctions.
In this Article, we explore not only the well-known distinction between conduct that is per se illegal and conduct judged under the rule of reason, but also a number of categorical distinctions the courts draw, either to help delineate the scope of the per se rule or to create distinctions within the scope of the rule of reason itself.
