Kings Coach Darryl Sutter thought about the topic of playing with a lead, reached into his own coaching/playing past and landed in the Midwest ? more precisely, in Chicago.

If only they could figure out a way to generate offense across the street at Staples Center. The Kings have a new coach in Darryl Sutter, but the offense still has the same ineffectiveness it did when Terry Murray coached the team.
Darryl Sutter's bitter-beer face peering out from behind the Kings' bench could be the best thing at this moment for a team that has reached its tipping point. Or, should Kings' fans be better prepared for an ending that will leave them feeling bitter all over again and crying in their tipped- over beers after a season that began with all kinds of promises goes sideways into the gutter?
The Kings are set to make Darryl Sutter their permanent coach to replace Terry Murray, according to a report Saturday on the team's website. LAKingsInsider.com reported the 53-year-old Sutter has signed a multi-year deal and will be introduced as the Kings' new coach Tuesday or Wednesday.
If there's a trend so far in Darryl Sutter's two-game career with the Kings, it's that the team will be getting extra work. For the second game in a row, the Kings went into a shootout against a Pacific Division rival, but this time came up short in Friday's 2-1 loss to the San Jose Sharks.
Kings left wing Simon Gagne has been out of the lineup since suffering a concussion Dec. 26. He has been cleared for contact drills in practice and is traveling with the team. However, Kings coach Darryl Sutter has tired of answering questions about whether the 32-year-old veteran will rejoin the Kings at some point in the Stanley Cup final.
CALGARY - If the Flames were playing a little better, it might be easier for Brent Sutter to say how much he's enjoying coaching in Calgary. Sutter said suspending one of his top players for Game 5 only reinforces his small market, Canadian-based team's status as underdogs in a finals that were expected to be fast and furious but instead have been physical, injury-filled and low-scoring.
