OREGONIA -- A conservation group will not appeal a court decision that allows adventure ziplines to cross the Little Miami River in southern Warren County.
Two new ziplines at Ozone Zipline Adventure that will soar 200 feet above the river from Camp Kern to Fort Ancient had been on hold, pending an appeal filed by Little Miami Inc. in April. The environmental group sued the YMCA of Greater Dayton -- which owns Camp Kern and Ozone Zipline Adventure -- last year, claiming the 1,500-foot long zipline would violate the terms of a conservation easement.

From an economic standpoint alone, it doesn't make sense to put that bridge anywhere else" but in DeSoto County, said county Planning Director Jim McDougal. He came to a meeting in Horn Lake's M.R. Dye Public Library this week to discuss Gateway need and impact. He plans to bring an assessment of the project to the Board of Supervisors at their next meeting Monday.
