John Coltrin Berry died Tuesday, April 26, 2011, at the age of 73. John was born in Chicago, Illinois on November 23, 1937, to the late Fred Berry and Dorothy Hubbard Berry. He graduated from York High School in Elmhurst, Illinois, attended Michigan State followed by a three year enlistment in the United States Army where he met and married the former Janette Garrett on June 3, 1961, while stationed at the Red River Army Depot in New Boston, Texas. WALHALLA - The humans were the ones scurrying out of the Oconee County Department of Social Services building after a crew prematurely set off gas canisters meant to kill roaches.

CHESAPEAKE - Phillip Anderson Galbreath, 78, of Lady Lake, Fla., died Saturday, Aug. 15, 2009, in Cumming, Ga. A native of Oconee County, South Carolina, he was retired from the U.S. Army National Guard and Naval Sea Support, Atlantic as an electronics technician.
Survivors include two daughters, Carolyn Schmitt and husband John of Chesapeake and Cynthia Wilson and husband Ken of Cumming, Ga.; two brothers, Russell D. Galbreath of Williamsburg and Williard C. Galbreath of Chesapeake; and a granddaughter, Heidi S. Mulholland.
