MUSKEGON, Mich., Jan. 25, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- The law firm of Howard & Howard Attorneys represents the Muskegon County Wastewater Management System (MCWMS) - one of the nation's most progressive wastewater treatment facilities. MCWMS announced today that it is seeking proposals from utility-scale wind developers interested in siting a project on 11,000 acres of MCWMS property near Lake Michigan.
Rodger Kershner and Jon Kreucher of Howard & Howard, who both specialize in the firm's energy and utilities practice, were selected by the MCWMS to solicit proposals from reputable wind developers. Kershner and Kreucher will offer advice and guidance during subsequent deliberations.

A Michigan education group is suing Dane County's district attorney to recoup legal costs it incurred while pursuing an open records request tied to Wisconsin's new collective bargaining law.
Education Action Group Foundation Inc., Muskegon, Mich., twice requested all of Ismael Ozanne's county emails pertaining to Gov. Scott Walker or the budget-repair bill, said Steve Gunn, the nonprofit group's communications director. He said EAG wanted to find out how much county time Ozanne spent on a lawsuit to prevent the publication of the collective bargaining law.

Three years ago, I wrote about a mock terrorism drill at a public school district in Muskegon County, Mich. Instead of Islamic terrorists, educators substituted Christian homeschoolers. Yes, Christian homeschoolers. Here was the description of the school drill plan:
The exercise will simulate an attack by a fictitious radical group called Wackos Against Schools and Education who believe everyone should be homeschooled. Under the scenario, a bomb is placed on the bus and is detonated while the bus is traveling in Durham, causing the bus to land on its side and fill with smoke.

MUSKEGON, Mich. - President Bush on Monday accused Democrat John Kerry of favoring a massive government-run health care system, as the two candidates sparred over their competing plans to expand coverage.
Speaking to a campaign health care forum in western Michigan, Bush said Kerry would leave bureaucrats in charge of medical decisions.
