FRANKLIN - The Virginia Peanut Growers Association is seeking eligible peanut producers who are interested in serving on the National Peanut Board. The Virginia Peanut Growers Association will hold a nominations election to select a member and alternate to the National Peanut Board during its annual meeting on Feb. 14, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the 4-H Center in Wakefield. All eligible producers are encouraged to participate. Jeffrey Pope of Drewryville is the current Virginia National Peanut Board member and Clarke Fox of Capron serves as the alternate.
