Practicing an art that is thought to date back thousands of years to India's Indus Valley civilization, today's rozome artists are lauded as "the painters of Japanese textiles." They're praised for reviving the rozome technique (a process whereby molten wax is applied to fabric, blocking out areas that resist the coloring of the dye).
