GAITHERSBURG, Md., Sept. 20 /PRNewswire/ -- One Washingtonian Center, the North American headquarters of Sodexo, Inc. has earned Platinum certification under the U.S. Green Building Council's (USGBC) Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) rating program for Existing Buildings: Operations & Maintenance, making it one of only three such structures in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area to achieve the USGBC's highest rating. The building, which is owned by LaSalle Investment Management(R) and operated by Transwestern(R), with Sodexo North America as its anchor tenant, also won the ENERGY STAR Award for the fourth consecutive year, earning 94 out of a possible 100 points under the EPA rating program. TETERBORO -- Officials with the borough and NJ Transit have hammered out an agreement that will allow two bus routes that stop on Route 46 to have stops at the corporate center, an initial step to make the borough more corporate friendly. The new transportation route, which takes effect next month, includes four bus stops on North Street that will result in shorter walks and better accessibility for commuters who use public transportation, officials said.
