A retired community college professor has announced plans to run for San Bernardino County Superintendent of Schools. Rita Ramirez-Dean, a member of the Copper Mountain Community College District board of trustees in Joshua Tree, filed a statement with the county Registrar of Voters last week declaring her intention to run for the position in June.
