AARP Michigan is dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for all as we age. In 'envisioning a society in which everyone ages with dignity and purpose, AARP provides resources that help people fulfill their goals and dreams. A great resource that AARP offers that many people in Detroit are unaware of is access to AARP information and services through the Detroit Information Center. The recent visit of AARP CEO A. Barry Rand to Detroit reinforced my desire to give back to the community where I was born and raised. Working as a volunteer at the Information Center allows me to do just that by providing quality consumer information and referral services that address both the needs of Detroit residents and AARP members.
