A lawsuit revolving around a woman's misadventure with breast implants sunk under the woman's own testimony and, at times, the lack thereof, leaving her holding the bag for the cost of the litigation, held the 7th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals.
Lori Schrott's problems began in 1987 when she experienced near- constant pain after receiving the Meme brand polyurethane, foam- coated silicone implants. As time passed, her breasts hardened, went numb, and in 1988, she experienced headaches, dizziness, nausea and memory loss.
