WASHOUGAL -- It was not the Majestic Theatre on Broadway, but it was Meredith Willson's "The Music Man" in all its boisterous enjoyment in this river city. Here was former Columbian editorial page editor D. Michael Heywood playing the role of the stuffy, "harrumphing" Mayor Shinn while his wife, Mary, was cast as the mayor's fluttering, yet regal wife, Eulalie MacKecknie Shinn.
