MORGANTOWN - The concessionaire at Mountaineer Field says it's confident it can gear up to start serving beer by the first fall football game if the West Virginia University Board of Governors approves.
Sodexo already sells beer in the general concession area at four college stadiums and in the private suite and club sections of nearly 20 college stadiums, spokeswoman Monica Zimmer said.

BLOOMINGTON - A North Carolina business has won a concession to operate at Central Illinois Regional Airport despite complaints that it may damage locally owned businesses already in the terminal.
The Airport Authority's board voted 6-1 Thursday in favor of a 10- year agreement with Tailwind Deli News and Gifts. The business will operate a gift and travel accessories shop before the security checkpoint in the old Airport Gifts and Baskets site and a food and beverage shop beyond the checkpoint.

PICO RIVERA - The City Council Tuesday night approved a five- year contract extension for a concessionaire who runs entertainment events at the Pico Rivera Sports Arena.

PICO RIVERA - An extension and changes to a concessionaire's contract at the Pico Rivera Sports Arena failed to pass muster at Tuesday night's City Council meeting.
LEBA Inc. runs events at the Sports Arena, mostly between Memorial Day and Labor Day, and has asked for a five-year extension to its sub-lease of the facility. The city in turn proposed reserving one holiday weekend and three other events in exchange for lowering the concessionaire's yearly fee from $300,000 to $250,000.
