CHESHIRE -- Having already gotten approval to build a concession stand in Bartlem Park, officials with Cheshire Youth Baseball have contacted the town about developing another one in Cheshire Park.

KETTERING -- The Kettering Youth Football and Cheer Organization's concession stand was broken into, vandalized and set ablaze early Thursday, July 15, causing thousands of dollars in damage about 10 days before practice begins for the fall season.
Wharton and Kettering fire crews responded at 5:32 a.m. to the stand, which overlooks the football field near Kettering Middle School and the Indian Riffle Park pond. The exterior of the building looks fine, but the equipment and interior were heavily damaged.

After years of relying on verbal agreements with youth sports programs that use its facilities, Monroeville is taking steps to protect the millions of dollars taxpayers have invested in a new community park.

The Warrior Booster Club is in need of workers to finish off the concession stand project on time. The Club needs individuals who can assist in pulling wire to all electrical boxes; people who can assist with taping and mudding of drywall; and other odds and ends that need to be wrapped up. The Booster Club will be working on the project during the week after 4 p.m. and on Saturdays. If you can assist please stop by and help out so the project can be finished on time.

A second youth baseball league concession stand in Indiana County was burglarized this week.
State police in Indiana County are investigating the burglary of a facility at the Homer City Booster's complex on Center Road sometime between Wednesday and Thursday. On Tuesday, burglars took about $1,300 in cash and items belonging to the Young Township Baseball League.
