Crime reduction There are two sides to the concealed weapons carry bill. On one side is an infringement on states' rights. On the other side is avoiding a potential problem if traveling through several states and not knowing the latest individual law. The claim that mostly relatives are shot in the home is from an unsubstantiated remark made in the '60s and has never held up to scrutiny.
