MLB officials are disingenuous when they laud [Bud Selig] for proposing a comprehensive drug testing policy as far back as 1994. Drug testing was not MLB's priority in those negotiations or in the 2002 talks. MLB wanted economic reform above all else.

PIKEVILLE, Ky. - A Kentucky state task force looking into the problem of drug abuse among miners is recommending a comprehensive drug-testing program for people who work in the coal industry.
Gov. Ernie Fletcher said his administration supports the proposal from the Mine Substance Abuse Task Force, which issued its report on Wednesday.
