LEWISTON - "This is a tremendous help to the community," said Pat Mongeau who attended the Lewiston-Auburn Tax Credit Awareness Coalition's "Super Saturday" on Feb. 10 at Andover College. IRS- trained volunteers provided free income tax preparation from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. as part of the coalition's Earned Income Tax Credit annual outreach. A total of 122 returns were e-filed during the event.
Attendees also took advantage of a financial education "Resource Room," as well as obtaining free credit reports and receiving a one- on-one consultation about the report.
