, of Lockport, NY, passed away on Sunday, May 15, 2011 in Niagara Hospice House. Norman was born June 3, 1924 in Lockport, NY and was the son of Elmer S. and Ethel M. Addison Sinclair. Except for three years of service to his country with the Army in World War II, he has lived in Lockport his entire life. Norman began his long banking career in 1942 with Lockport Savings Bank (known then as Farmers and Mechanics' Savings Bank), and worked his way up from a runner at the bank to president, holding many positions along the way. In 1974, he was elected President and Chief Executive and served in that role until he was elected Chairman of the Board of Trustees in January 1989.
