  • BANGOR - A Carmel woman was indicted Monday by the Penobscot County grand jury, accused of taking more than $100,000 over three years from Community Health and Counseling Services. Amy McElroy, 41, is charged with Class B theft by unauthorized taking. If convicted, she faces up to 10 years in prison and a fine of up to $20,000. She also could be ordered to pay restitution.

For many of those years, her friend and co-worker Jenny Sewell has been there to cheerher on.   • JONESPORT - , 82, died Oct. 20, 2011, at home. He was born April 23, 1929, in Oklahoma City, son of Felix McCamey Davis Jr. and Lucile France Inlow. As a child he lived in Missouri and Illinois, on Long Island, and graduated from high school in Seattle. About 1,500 convicted felons return to Montgomery County each year after serving prison sentences.
