Appeal from judgment of Franklin County Common Pleas Court reversing an order of the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services ("ODJFS") and remanding the matter to the agency. The matter involved a dispute over an alleged overpayment for Medicaid services. Because the trial court abused its discretion when it found that HCMC, Inc., dba We Care Medical, was entitled to a surcharge for "overhead" costs associated with Medicaid billing, the judgment of the trial court is reversed in part. However, because the trial court properly determined that ODJFS's adjudication order was based upon comparisons lacking in equivalency, the judgment of the trial court is affirmed in part. COLUMBUS, Ohio, Sept. 11 /U.S. Newswire/ -- Jeffrey Balk, founder of EXP Magazine, filed suit in the Common Pleas Court of Franklin County, Ohio, against Ethan Interactive Inc., the parent company of Out in America. Also named in the lawsuit were board of directors and shareholders Michael Reese, Frank Jarred Hunnell, Gregg McConnell and Fred Palmer.
The suit seeks $1 million in punitive damages and an amount in excess of $25,000 for breach of contract and breach of fiduciary duty.

COLUMBUS, Ohio (HedgeWorld.com) - Ohio Attorney General Jim Petro filed a lawsuit Friday [June 10] accusing investment manager MDL Capital Management Inc., its chief executive Mark D. Lay and seven other defendants of fraud, conspiracy, breach of fiduciary duty and breach of contract in connection with a hedge fund investment that went bad.
In its complaint, filed in Franklin County Common Pleas Court, Mr. Petro's office says the US$14 billion Ohio Bureau of Workers' Compensation lost US$215 million in a hedge fund run by MDL called the MDL Active Duration Fund.
